// built for the person in charge

Agents do the work. You stay in charge.

The best agent in the world is no use if the person signing for its work can't tell what it did. Infrared is designed around that person.

You're the software change manager: you decide what gets built, what merges and what reaches production. Everything below exists so those decisions take minutes, not afternoons, and so you never have to chase work that's moving on its own.

// the experience

Six promises the app keeps.

01

You never go looking for a decision.

The number beside Changes on the rail counts everything waiting on a person. Changes says how many things wait for you, and Show only these narrows it down, each with the button it needs. When you open a Change that waits for you, a banner says what for, with the action right there.

  • Counts on the rail
  • One click to see only what needs you
  • Product cards say what needs attention

02

You decide from evidence.

A Change's page is built so you can approve from proof. A strip shows how far it got. The run's figures say how many AgentRoles passed, what it cost and how many success criteria were met. Each step leads with its verdict in plain words, then its evidence: test output, screenshots, checks and its log.

  • Plain words: Verified, Awaiting approval, Failed
  • Screenshots of the change running in pre-release
  • Success criteria, checked

03

Some decisions are always yours.

Triage, the merge and the promotion to production wait for a person by default. You can turn approvals off for a Product, but Infrared asks you first, and a blocking verdict or a stopped step still waits for someone.

  • Build it, or hand to a person
  • Approve or reject the merge
  • Approve: promote to production

04

When an agent gets stuck, it asks.

An agent that isn't sure stops and asks you up to five questions, each with suggested answers. You reply and retry with your guidance, or without it. When one of Infrared's own steps stops, it says what happened and what is already done, so you know what's safe.

  • Questions with suggested answers
  • Retry with guidance, or cancel
  • Never a silent failure

05

You can watch what happened.

Every finished Change gets a short narrated video: what shipped, what each step did, what it cost and why it's good news for the people who use it. Every Monday the org gets a video of its week. Both can go to Slack.

  • About 5¢ for a Change's video
  • About a dollar for the week
  • Shared to Slack, if you want

06

You always know what it cost.

Ask for a change and it tells you about what it will spend. Every step, every Change and every day shows its cost, on your own model key, against budgets you set. A chip on every page shows today's spend, and turns amber before it becomes a problem.

  • Per step, per Change, per day
  • Budgets and a circuit breaker
  • Your key, your bill

Small things, done for you.

A nudge to releaseWhen enough has reached production, the Releases tab says so, and drafts the notes and the post.
Your own pageYou: your profile, your avatar, linked accounts, API tokens, availability and roles in one place.
Credit, never a rankingA person's page shows what they did, and never ranks them against anyone.
Update bannersAfter an upgrade, open tabs offer a reload instead of breaking.
