infrared 0.1 · released october 29, 2026

The agentic software and infrastructure factory.

Agents plan, build, test, review and ship. You decide what changes and what reaches production, from evidence you can read in a minute.

Infrared runs your Products from one sentence to production, on infrastructure it builds and keeps in gitops. Use the control plane we host and run nothing yourself, or install your own in your own cloud. darkshift makes it, and we're signing our first design partners now.

// who it's for

One factory. Every door.

Some teams want to host nothing at all. Some need all of it in their own cloud, under their own rules. Most sit somewhere in between. Infrared is the same factory for all of them; what changes is who runs it and how much of it you own. Pick the story that sounds like you, or compare the setups.

01 / you built an app

Ship your app. Host nothing.

You built something with an AI assistant and people are using it. Upload a zip, get a private preview, and put it in production with a person on the button. No servers, no config files, no pager.

02 / a small team

A platform team in a box.

A handful of engineers, more repos than people, and no platform team. Agents clear the backlog, every push ships in steps and rolls back on its own if it fails, and you see your delivery figures without building a dashboard.

03 / a team inside a big org

The agent your security team will approve.

Agents run in your account, on your own AI account. Your platform team writes the rules every agent follows, a person approves every merge, and every step leaves a record you can show an auditor.

04 / the enterprise

Your own factory, in your own cloud.

One command puts Infrared in your own Google Cloud or AWS account. It reaches your clouds with no stored passwords, sets up the servers your products run on, and writes all of it down in a repo you own.

05 / regulated teams

Your factory, in your region.

Infrared, the agents, the builds and the record, all in your own cloud account and region, with what is live and what isn't yet said plainly.

06 / agencies and studios

Hand over a factory, not a zip file.

A space per client, agents on every backlog and a receipt for every change. When the work is done, the client owns the whole factory, in their own cloud.

07 / hosting providers

Sell the factory, on your cloud.

Offer the factory to your customers: we can host the infrastructure for you, or you can self-host on your own servers, a space for each customer, with the founders beside you.

// how it works

From one sentence to production.

Every Change, whether a person or an agent writes it, goes through the same flow: the same reviews, the same evidence, the same human approval before it merges and before it reaches production. Agents do the defined jobs. You hold the gates.

  1. 01You askOne sentence on a Product's Changes tab, or an issue in your repo.you
  2. 02The architect plans itIt reads your code and turns the ask into an issue with a plan and success criteria.agents
  3. 03You triageBuild it, or hand it to a person. Nothing is built until you say so.you
  4. 04Agents build and reviewThe builder writes it; QA, security and quality reviewers check it and send it back if it isn't right.agents
  5. 05You approve the mergeFrom each step's verdict and evidence, not from a diff alone.you
  6. 06Infrared deploys itZone by zone through gitops, each zone watched by a release guard that rolls back a failure.agents
  7. 07You approve productionProduction waits for a person. Then the Change is Done, with a video of what happened.you

// the factory floor

Everything a Product needs, in one place.

Infrared is laid out the way you work: your Products first, then the Changes moving through them, the deployments carrying them to production, the releases that tell people about them, and the humans and agents doing the work.

products

Start from the Product, not the cluster.

A Product is the repos you build, release and change together. Its page shows each environment, what it runs, whether it's healthy, its SLOs and incidents, and the week at a glance.

  • Start from a zip or a template and get a running preview
  • Every push deploys, zone by zone
  • Uptime, edge error and latency SLOs by default

changes

Every Change, from the ask to production.

Changes lists what was asked for in the words it was asked in, and where each request stands: waiting for you, in progress, done or stopped. Open one to see every step's verdict and evidence.

  • Ask in one sentence
  • Verdict cards in plain words
  • A summary video for every Change

workforce

Humans and agents, on one team.

Workforce puts Teams, people, agents and access groups in one place. Every org starts with eight Teams, and each Team's agents follow the opinions you write for them.

  • Default Teams, editable
  • A daily status per Team, if you want one
  • Credit for people's work, never a ranking

// new · infrared 0.1

Infrared 0.1 is out.

0.1.0 is our first release: everything we've built since September, by humans and agents together, in one open beta. It needs no license through November 30, 2026.

// darkshift

Built by people who've built platforms before.

darkshift is the team behind Kubefirst, Konstruct and Colony. We've built public and private clouds, run enterprise platforms on top of them, and written the installers that set them up. Infrared is what comes next: a new product, built from the ground up on what that experience taught us, for a world where agents write much of the code.
